Warrior Kid and Lil Warrior

We believe that to change tomorrow, you must change today. And what better way to change our collective tomorrow than by equipping our children with the skills they need to lead purposeful lives? We developed our Warrior Kid and Lil Warrior programs to help our children

· to grow strong and confident

· to be able to not only defend themselves but help to protect those smaller and weaker

· to develop respect for others and self

· to understand true discipline and determination

· to practice goal setting and problem solving

· to form lifelong healthy habits

We accept students between the ages of 3 and 12 and teach a mixed martial arts curriculum that starts with building fundamental movement patterns (for ages 3–6) and progresses to techniques from BJJ, Muay Thai, Boxing, Wrestling, Karate, and Tae Kwon Do (for ages 7–12). We combine traditional martial arts values with a modern approach to self-defense and fitness.

BEGINNERS’ STRIKING

Our boxing class will improve your body composition by increasing your muscle and decreasing your fat. Working the heavy bag will torch calories and create real changes in your musculature; hitting focus mitts with our trainers will build your speed, agility, and hand-eye coordination; and working with a partner will heighten your reflexes and increase your analytic aptitude. This class operates on the fight clock, so the beginner and the experienced boxer will reap the benefits of HIIT; all you have to do is wrap your hands, strap on your boxing gloves, and give us your best shot.

Muay Thai

Led by long time UFC veteran “The Immortal” Matt Brown. This class is focused on kickboxing and Muay Thai techniques with an emphasis on the application in a mixed martial arts setting. Beginners and advanced students are welcome. Gloves, wraps and shin guards are encouraged but not mandatory.

SUBMISSION GRAPPLING

Give us an hour and we’ll improve your muscular strength and endurance, sharpen your ability to defend yourself, challenge your cardiovascular fitness, and give you a break from the stress of your daily grind. Our submission grappling classes develop the skills you need to control an opponent on the ground, featuring techniques from traditional Brazilian jiu-jitsu (gi and no gi BJJ) and wrestling (Greco-Roman, catch, and freestyle). We also teach how to transition from stand-up striking to the ground game with takedowns and clinch work. Grappling requires focus, complete coordination between mind and body, natural movement, patience, and discipline. Come learn how resilient you are.

JUDO

Judo, “The Gentle Way,” offers much more than brutal throws. When you come to Judo class, you become part of a martial arts tradition that spans centuries. You will learn to practice, perform, and perfect the skills of throwing, pinning, locking, and strangling an opponent, as well as the skill of landing without injury when thrown. Students of Sensei Eddie Neves learn proper break-falls, take-downs, counter-attacks (tashi-waza), combined attacks, ground-game(ne-waza), competition rules, self-defense, and forms (kata). Judo demands mindfulness, intention, and harmony between your mind and body. In return, Judo will give you a new understanding of yourself, in your body and in your spirit, and an ability to rise after every setback. Practice Judo with us and overcome what you thought were your limits.
