Hey, guys. I am the Immortal Matt Brown, founder and owner of Immortal Martial Arts Center. I founded it in 2018 after about 20-plus years of training in the martial arts. I started in Muay Thai and pretty quickly transitioned over to MMA. Within four years, I was in the UFC, on The Ultimate Fighter, Season Seven. After winning my final fight on The Ultimate Fighter, I got a contract with the UFC.
Overall, I had about 25 to 30 fights with the UFC. I ended up with a knockout record in my division, the welterweight division, with 13 knockouts, and that turned out to be second in UFC history for the most knockouts. In 2018, I decided to open my own gym and share my knowledge with the world. So I invite all of you to come check it out, and I would love to pass it on to you.
Here in the Lewis Center location of Immortal Martial Arts Center, we have Jiu-Jitsu classes, gi and no-gi. We have judo, so we have Jiu-Jitsu and judo for adults and kids. We have Muay Thai kickboxing, again for adults and kids. Those are our primary programs. We are building out leadership teams, demo teams and tons of other things to keep everybody engaged, keep everybody excited and keep everybody training in the martial arts.
BJJ is a grappling-based martial art that focuses on leverage, technique, and control, allowing you to overcome larger, stronger opponents using skill and strategy. It’s one of the most effective and respected martial arts for self-defense, competition, and personal development.
Whether you’re a beginner or experienced athlete, our structured curriculum helps you progress with purpose, improving fitness, focus, and confidence in a supportive, ego-free environment.
These Jiu-Jitsu classes are calorie-crushing, action-packed sessions.
Known as “the art of 8 limbs,” Muay Thai teaches powerful punches, kicks, knees, elbows, clinch work, and trips, making it one of the most effective striking arts in the world.
Our world-class curriculum is designed for all experience levels and follows structured progressions that focus on technical excellence, functional fitness, and real-world application. Whether you’re training for fitness, self-defense, or competition, our program helps you grow with purpose.
Judo consists of throws and sweeps and the main objective of a judoka is to use the opponent’s strength against them and to force the opponent to tap out. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced martial artist, this class will challenge you physically and mentally while building real-world skills.
Taught in a respectful, supportive environment, Judo is ideal for those looking to improve fitness, learn self-defense, or compete.
Please bring sandals, crocs or footwear that is easy to take on and off as you will be required to wear footwear at all times off the mats and barefoot on the mats. Shorts and a T-shirt are completely acceptable for all kids and adult classes. Workout attire, such as rash guards and spats are also acceptable. If you plan on attending Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or Judo and you have a Gi please bring it. We have Gis available for sale that are high quality at affordable prices. Otherwise, please let us know ahead of time so we can have a loaner available.
If you have equipment such as gloves, shin guards or mouth guards please bring them. Kids 8oz gloves and Adult 16oz gloves and shin guards of all sizes are available for sale. We have loaner gloves and shin guards available on a first come first serve basis.
Lil Warriors classes are 45 minutes. Warrior Kids classes are 1 hour unless otherwise noted. Most adult classes are 1 hour to 1 and a half hours depending on the class schedule. Please check the schedule or shoot us a call or text for any further questions.
Unlike a regular health club or gym membership, you always get the time you pay for. Whether you miss two weeks or two months (travel, a sports season, illness or anything else), we credit the time back by extending your membership or through makeup classes, as long as payments continue through the program.
It is the question we are asked most, and it is why we do not need a hold policy.
